GLP-1 and GIP primary cell assay services

InfiniteBio introduces new assay services from ReproCELL, using rat primary cells that stably secrete GLP-1 and GIP. There are two different assays for GLP-1 and GIP respectively, and the services provide data to observe GLP-1/GIP secretion activities using your test compounds.

The gastrointestinal hormones glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) are strong stimulators of glucose-dependent insulin release.  GLP-1 and GIP play key roles in glucose metabolism, and have been important subjects of research on diabetes and obesity.

Despite the intensive research needs, isolation of primary cells, which stably secrete GLP-1 and GIP, had not been successful until ReproCELL developed its original methods.  Using its expertise and technology, ReproCELL has made it possible to conduct assays using rat primary cells to observe GLP-1/GIP secretion activities.  Although handling the primary cells is difficult, experienced scientists conduct the entire assay and provide highly reliable data.

The assays are ELISA-based assay, and the assay unit is a 96 well plate, in which 64 wells are available for sample testing (32 wells are used for internal quality control).
